The generous gift comes from the Dutch entrepreneurs Lukki Janssen and Ralph Boom. Lukki has traveled around South Africa and had a batch of father and son swimming trunks with small printing errors. Lukki: “There is nothing wrong with the fabric or the fit. But due to minor printing errors, they are less salable. I’d rather give them away than turn them into a stunt offer.”

With the South African summer on the way, the pants are more than welcome. You may not be able to imagine it, but this really is a mega-luxury item for the kids in our schools. The quality is so good that they can easily be worn as ‘normal’ shorts. The first shipment will be shipped in October. Photos to follow!
